The opportunity to design a wine label was given to my class at DuBois Business College. Some women who work at my school, along with about a dozen other women, got together and bid in a charity auction for a chance to make their own wine with Starr Hill Winery. When they won the bidding they all got together and decided on the type of wine, the flavor, the name, and the look they were going for. They decided on the name "Sexy Beeaches," and they wanted a clean, classy design for the label. Since some of the women work at our school they came to my graphic design class with a request for a wine label to be designed. Rachel Syktich came to the class and explained what she and the other women were looking for in their wine label design. Everyone in the class was given the opportunity to create and submit a wine label design, and mine was chosen to be used!

I was very excited to be chosen for this opportunity, both my design and my photography are featured in this one project! When the product was complete and on the shelves I was very proud to be seeing my work on a real product being sold. 

 

 

I am very happy to have the opportunity of working with the women and the winemakers during this project; I'm glad I was given this opportunity to experience while I was still in school. I had learned alot about working with clients and the printer, as well as working under a very strict time restraint.

While this wine was going to be a limited run, it sold out extremely quickly! I was lucky to pick up two bottles to keep for myself. Now Starr Hill Winery is producing this wine in their normal product line and it is featured in their store fronts as well as under their tents at various wine festivals.
